Portfolio
Below you can see a small portfolio of our civil and structural engineering projects.
Insurance Work – Rossendale
After the collapse of the wall to the rear of a residential property, which resulted in a land slip we were called to help to provide a workable solution which would satisfy both the home owners and the insurers.
Working with the home owners, the insurers, contractors, and local residents, Michael Pooler Associates oversaw the project to build a new retaining wall, and secure the land above. We were even able to set the new wall back an extra metre to give the owners better access to the rear and side of their property.
Bury Football Club
Michael Pooler Associates were responsible for the structural design of Bury Football Club’s new stadium. The redevelopment of Gigg Lane was as a result of the requirement for all seater stadiums as recommended in the Taylor Report.
Crack & Tilt Monitoring – Lancaster
Our ‘Crack & Tilt’ services were required in Lancaster to monitor any potential movement on buildings in the vicinity of excavation works which were being carried out in the city centre.
Cae Du – Abersoch, North Wales
We provided structural drawings and calculations for our client to allow the redevelopment of a holiday cottage in the coastal town of Abersoch, North Wales.
Windsor Works – Oldham

This project included assessing the condition of the existing structure, supervision of remedial works to the mill, and the design of steel-framed penthouse apartments.
J & J Ormerod – Rossendale
Michael Pooler Associates was approached with the task of developing a piece of wasteland into industrial units. We were responsible for the structural design of the foundations, floor slab, gabion basket retaining wall and superstructure associated with the two new warehouses.
